Vancouver Winter Olympics

We have finally gotten on board with blogging with our revised site! Since I have the good fortune to live in Vancouver, BC, Home of the 2010 Winter Olympics AND I watched the Women’s Hockey last night…..I am not writing about any BlackBerry. Ok, well I will throw in one thing later.

It was an inexplicable feeling but I will try. Imagine a sea of red, thousands and thousands of proud, flag waving, Canadians, screaming, cheering, and just ‘being’ more assertive than we normally are. It was amazing and I totally got caught up. Have a bit of a husky voice today from cheering right along. We got to sit 6 rows up from the left of the goal, the side where we were in goal for 2 periods. Shannon was just fantastic to watch, it was like a synchronized player of some sort. She was just bang on and I felt thrilled to see her in action. I mean WOW! Then the dog pile on her when we won against the USA 2-0. It was heartbreaking watching the US get their silver, they were so sad. We, being Canadian, cheered and yelled, “Way to go USA”. That moment made me proud too! Another moment, the anthem, not the pop version either. haha. EVERYONE sang. So much pride, my eyes watered with pride and joy.

I will NEVER forget these few precious hours that I got to experience and thanks so much to my friend Christie, who invited me to share with her. Best time ever! Now….to watch the men win!

So I have to add something BlackBerry in here. You know it! I just got a new 9700 and though I have never really liked the camera and prefer to use a “real” one, 4 pictures later and my battery died on my camera. Grrrr…so I was forced to capture the moments on my BlackBerry. You know, not bad…….I have shared a few. …. and I LOVE the touchpad. Seriously a great fix to touchscreen and trackball!
