Though you might think it syncs like a normal connector Top Producer Outlook Connector does not synchronize contact (or calendar) data between Outlook and Top Producer.  Top Producer Outlook Connector allows you to search for and select your Top Producer contacts when you’re emailing from Outlook.  You can also copy existing emails in Outlook to the contact in Top Producer that has a matching email address.

But wait you want to actually exports your contact information from Top Producer to Outlook so that your BlackBerry can use the information?  No Problem:

The steps below will take you through exporting your contacts from Top Producer 8i into an Excel CSV file.

1. Hover over Contacts and click Search for Contacts.
2. Choose your search criteria and then click Search at the bottom.
3. Select the contacts you want to export and then click Export Contacts at the bottom.
4. Choose your Export options and then click the Export button.

After you perform your export from Top Producer, open the file in Excel and delete any columns that you will not use in the program you’re going to be importing these contacts into. These would any “ID” columns (they just contain strings of numbers and letters) or columns that don’t have any information in them. The less columns the better. If you see a blank column, make sure you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the list to ensure that it’s blank for all your contacts.
